Ahead of next week\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>NCAA Convention in San Antonio<\/span>, the DI Board of Directors released the report \u201cElevating support for student-athletes\u2019 mental, physical, and academic wellbeing.\u201d Authored by the NCAA\u2019s Division I Transformation Committee, the report represents \u201cthe deliberations, evaluations and actions on some of the biggest challenges facing Division I athletics.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The challenges listed in the report:<\/span><\/p>\n The laundry list of recommendations includes the following:<\/span><\/p>\n The report concluded with the statement:<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe look forward to seeing these recommendations continue to take hold, as we know they will meaningfully support the Division I student-athletes of today and tomorrow.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Julie Cromer, director of athletics at Ohio University, and Greg Sankey, commissioner of the Southeastern Conference, are the committee\u2019s co-chairs.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
