For about a month after he was sidelined with a torn ligament in his right elbow, Paul George could do nothing but wait.<\/p>\n

He had been through serious injuries before, but the waiting process for this one, in December, was new to him.<\/p>\n

No activity for a few weeks. He couldn\u2019t get back on the court for more than two months. His body, doctors told him, just needed rest.<\/p>\n

George would watch N.B.A. games at home with his fianc\u00e9e, young daughters, newborn son. The children would watch sometimes, but mostly stayed occupied with their iPads while George focused on work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
