LeBron James, top vote-getter for NBA All-Star Game despite Lakers’ struggles


Despite his team’s poor showing, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James came from behind to lead the fan voting for the NBA All-Star Game, the league itself announced Thursday.

LeBron James will be back in Cleveland

Fan voting will close this Saturday, Jan. 22, and it will be Thursday, Jan. 28, that the five Eastern Conference starters and Western Conference opponents, as well as the captains of both teams for the traditional midseason exhibition game on Feb. 20 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, will be announced, based on fan preference.

This will be the #71 All-Star Game in the history of the NBA which is celebrating its #75 season.
