L. A. Clippers rumors: Kawhi Leonard with ‘strong possibility’ to make a comeback this season

Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard is reportedly capable of making a late return in the 2021-2022 campaign.

As told by Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports during his TNT sideline reporting gig on Clippers’ match against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, there is a ‘strong possibility’ that the two-time Finals MVP can make a comeback in the league’s 75th season. The insider further noted that Leonard is ahead of its schedule from rehabilitation and has increased its workload from the previous weeks.

Leonard went down with a partially torn right ACL on the Clippers’ 2nd round playoff berth last season against the Utah Jazz while coasting against Joe Ingles in Game 5. Despite his absence, the franchise still managed to appear in its first conference finals in history, only coming up short against the eventual West champions Phoenix Suns.

With Clippertown also missing star swingman Paul George, they are currently 8th in the Western Conference with a 19-20 standing.
