as the basketball season. Nears the N. B. A. Is considering allowing 18 year olds to be drafted once again straight from high school. That could potentially impact the high profile one and done players that we’ve seen come through colleges like Duke. It’s the first week of practice for Duke basketball and first year head coach, Jon Scheyer, first day of practice is something something that I’ve had marked down on my calendar for some time. And all of a sudden we’re here shire recruited the number one freshman class in the country and has the number one coming in next season. But his recruiting genius could be challenged if the NBA starts allowing players to be drafted out of high school. Once again, we’ll be in a good position but not try to jump the gun where anticipating something because next thing, you know, something else changes And uh, just try to stay the course of what we know is real and what we know for sure is happening. We’re still gonna go out to the top guys. And to be honest with you, it’s only a few guys that could really go from high school to the pros. Certainly, Duke has had its share of top recruits that could have made that jump. But share believes Duke’s brand along with N. I. L. Opportunities will entice players to come play for the Blue Devils. You know, like my class, you know, Derek and these guys and Derek and Kyle and all them, we really identified them and went after them with no backups and we felt like they belonged here. Unfortunately, they felt the same way and they’re here. We’ll still do that with the guys that we really know early on.
