Atlanta Hawks forward Cam Reddish could be on trading block heading into the February deadline. The promising swingman has one more guaranteed season in his contract before he enters free agency.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported Friday on The Hoop Collective podcast the contract situation is a factor in how the Hawks could move forward with Reddish.

“I just think there’s a belief out there that maybe they’re not right now committed to giving Cam Reddish the type of contract he’s looking for. And so he potentially could be on the move. … I’m not sure there have been offers, but when you talk to teams, they will say that they look for Reddish to potentially be packaged with Delon Wright and/or Solomon Hill, who’s in the last year [of their] contract.”
The 22-year-old Duke product has averaged 11.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 117 career games so far. However, Reddish could be considered as a future building piece for a rebuilding team.
The Hawks are own a 17-21 record heading into the middle of the season. They are among the worst defenses in the league, and they could use Reddish to get back an upgrade in the forward position, a player that could offer more in the defensive side of the ball.
